Karatbars has recently signed a contract with the managers of the Bouganville mine.
Like me, you may have never heard of Bouganville.
Bouganville is a part of Papua New Guinea. But it gained an autonomous status 20 years ago. After the war of Independence it happened.
Bouganville is home to one of the world’s largest precious metals mines (gold & copper).
However, it stopped operating since the start of the war.
Now, thanks to Karatbars the mine will be brought back to life.
The good thing, is mining will be done responsibly. Meaning? According to technical, environmental & other local regulations.
So, this way Karatbars will not only have “green” gold behind KaratBank coin & CashGold, they will also contribute to the rise of the economy in this region. Hence, helping local people increase their standard of living. Which has been quite low for decades.
