Recently I finished reading (listening to be precise) the book called “Why They Buy: Cracking the Personality Code to Achieve Record Sales and Real Wealth” which was recommended by my mentor.
The author, Cheri Tree, as result of her long struggle as a salesperson came up with the revolutionary system to dramatically increase the chances of your prospect saying “Yes” to your product or service.
Her strategies which she developed into a system are based entirely on “Why prospects buy” rather than “How I should sell ” or “How to make prospects buy”.
The very mistake of most sales trainings and sales book authors is that they focus little at the root motive of why people buy, and instead jump to “How I should sell so that prospects buy”.
This is for the most part is ineffective because the underlying buying motive element is missing. Or better said, the foundation of the very buying act is missing.
Trying to sell a product or service without knowing the underlying motive of why your prospect would want to buy it is the same as trying to plant a seed on infertile (nutrient-devoid) soil and expect it to grow.
No matter how hard you try to make the seed grow it won’t grow because there is no or little nutrients in the soil — the very foundation for the growth of the plant is missing.

Sales Tip 1. Since every individual is different, your sales presentation (pitch) should be tailored to every single individual.
