In this tutorial you will learn how how to transfer your KBC & KCB coins from MyEtherWallet to Karatbit exchange
A reminder: In order for your KBC and KCB coins to be converted to a new coin, you need to have them all in your Karatbit account by December 15, 2019.
You may have your KBC or KCB coins in MyEtherWallet if you bought the coins last year.
Anyways, here are the steps.
How to transfer KBC coins from MyEtherWallet to Karatbit exchange
1. Go to www.myetherwallet.com and click ‘Access my Wallet’ below.
2. Then choose one of four options to access your wallet: ‘MewConnect’, ‘Hardware’, ‘Browser Extension’ or ‘Software’. Note: Software is not the best option.
3. Once you log in into your account, click ‘Send’ on the left and select ‘Send transaction’ (see Screenshot #1 below).
4. When selecting what to send, you won’t see KBC in ‘Type’ because it’s still a relatively new coin. So, you need to add KBC.
-
- Simply click ‘+ Custom Tokens’ on the right (See Screenshot #1 below — Marked 1)

5. Then on the pop-up window, enter the following KBC information into the provided fields (see Screenshot #2 below)
-
-
Token Contract Address: 0xf3586684107CE0859c44aa2b2E0fB8cd8731a15a
-
Token Symbol: KBC
-
Decimals: 7

6. After that, in the ‘Amount’, enter the entire amount of your KBC coins. Or just click ‘Entire Balance’ straight above.
7. Then, enter ‘To Address’.
-
-
‘To Address’ is a receiving address. This is place where you want your coins to be send, which is your Karabit exchange account.
-
What is the address of your Karabit account? To look up your address, scroll down and follow ‘How to look up your Karatbit address’ tutorial. Then come back here.
-
8. Just pasted your Karatbit address into ‘To Address’ field? Good. To continue with the transaction, a very small transaction fee in Ether is required (under $0.25).
-
-
For example, to send 2680 coins, I was charged 0.0001323 ETH. Bottom line: You need to have some ether in your wallet. You can buy some ether with your credit card.
-
On the same page, simply scroll down, and on the right, click ‘Buy ETH with Credit Card’ (See Screenshot #1 above — Marked 2). Note, $1 dollar is more than enough!
-
9. Now you are ready to send your KBC coins to Karatbit exchange!
-
- Before clicking ‘Send Transaction’, check that information in all fields is correct.
11. All info is correct? Then click ‘Send Transaction’.
12. After that, the confirmation window will pop up. Double check the information again and click ‘Confirm and Send’. (See Screenshot #3 below).
13. You will get ‘Your deposit has been processed’ email once your KBC coins are in your Karatbit account.
14. Now, log in into your Karatbit account. See the KBC coin deposit? Awesome! At this point you are done and ready for the hard fork!
